My goal and passion has always been for the keiki. I wanted to be a teacher since I was in 3rd grade. The inspiration came from my elementary teachers who made me feel more than just a student sitting at a desk. I felt seen and understood and that is a driving factor behind the teacher that I am today. I have been a part of education in many different roles over the last 14 years of my life. The foundation of my journey to state house stands on the livelihood of our keiki and the future we are leaving to them.

Family and faith go hand in hand as my biggest support on this journey. God has blessed me with the most important role of being a mother and caring for my family. In doing this, I have learned that what is best for my family, doesn't need to be approved or accepted by others around me. Time and time again, God has kept us on His path and led us through hardships that lead to purpose. My beliefs of faith, family, and freedom are resonated in my actions. All I do continues to be a reflection of what He allows for me.

As I serve my community as an educator and advocate for education and the keiki, I am blessed to be walking this path. I am living proof that if something does not resonate with your beliefs or life, you can do something about it. Courage is not something that comes easily. Especially if you are stuck in the box of society and care about the opinions of others. Luckily those two things donʻt apply to me. As I step forward on my journey to state house representative, I will continue walking my talk and leading by action. It is what I do.

Education. Family. Community. This is the driving force on my journey to becoming State House Representative of District 5. Remember that if you decide to judge someone, look at the actions of the person and judge them based on what they did and not what they said they would do.
